Meet Steven, Co-Founder
Steven is a Chartered Accountant whose career spans defence, nuclear, utilities, healthcare, insurance and construction, alongside service as a warfare officer in the Royal Navy Reserve. With risk management expertise and over 15 years in property management, he brings precision and perspective to the business they are building in Durham and, as opportunities are explored, further afield. Away from work, he enjoys golf, carpentry, country walks, travel and genealogy, but values time with family and friends above all — a grounding influence on his approach to property and people.
Meet Morganne, Co-Founder
With a background in administration, customer service and healthcare, I have developed strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills across a variety of roles and industries. I have always enjoyed working with people and taking on new challenges, and I am now bringing these skills into the property sector as part of the Oropesa Properties team. I am very excited about providing high quality homes away from home and using my service industry skills to make every stay a great experience.
Outside of work, I'm passionate about music, gaming, and the arts, and I'm a keen Formula One fan. I love exploring new cities, trying new experiences, and getting stuck into creative projects. Above all, I treasure time with my partner, friends, and family, and I make the most of every moment outside of work.
Meet Jane, Co-Founder
With over 25 years in Human Resources across retail, defence and technology, Jane brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of people to her role as co-founder. Her career has shaped a thoughtful, practical approach to supporting others and building strong foundations for the business. Away from work, her happy place is by the sea, where a stormy walk clears the cobwebs and offers fresh perspective. A creative spirit, she also enjoys exploring her artistic side and losing herself in a good book, bringing the same curiosity and care to life as she does to the company.

How does guaranteed rent work?+
We agree on a fixed monthly rental payment with you at the start of the contract and pay that amount consistently for the duration of the agreement. Your income does not fluctuate based on tenant occupancy, giving you predictable and reliable returns.
What happens if the property is vacant?+
You continue to receive your agreed rent in full. Void periods are our responsibility, not yours. Our business model is built around professional tenant sourcing and strong occupancy management.
Who covers maintenance costs?+
Day-to-day maintenance and occupant-related issues are managed and coordinated by our team. We handle communication, contractor management and oversight. The landlord remains responsible for major repairs, structural and exterior works, and key property systems such as the boiler, heating, plumbing and electrics, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
How are tenants sourced and vetted?+
We work with established local employers and professional networks to source high-quality tenants. All occupants are referenced, verified and placed in line with compliance requirements and best practice standards.
What happens at the end of the agreement?+
You have clear options. You may renew the agreement, take the property back with vacant possession, or explore an agreed purchase pathway if that aligns with your long-term goals.
Can I sell during the contract?+
Yes. We can support a sale subject to the terms of the management agreement. In some cases, we may also offer a direct purchase solution if that suits your objectives.
Are there any upfront fees?+
No. We do not charge setup or management fees to place your property into our guaranteed rent programme. Our model is designed to be straightforward and aligned with a long-term partnership.
